Le Manoir de Brendel is a family-owned estate where all grapes are harvested by hand. Our Brendel range stands for attention to detail according to centuries old tradition of winemaking. Our red wines undergo a first fermentation in the tank, followed by a second fermentation in barrels and are finally matured on oak for 16 to 19 months In this mild and sunny climate in the shadow of the mountains, we grow grape varieties of Shiraz, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay. Bring your racquet along and enjoy a game of tennis on our clay court, with views overlooking the vineyards. Both young and old enjoy playing a game of chess on our giant garden chessboard. For more action, there’s a 1.2 km walking trail through the vineyards. Lazing in and around our swimming pool is what our guests do best when the Franschhoek summer days are upon us. For those colder winter days, lounging around our guest-lounge fireplace is just the thing to do.
